About Us

Band story and booking context

TBFTE reprise the fury and live intensity of Ziggy Stardust era Bowie flawlessly and with all the intended swagger and brio.

The band uses Ziggy as a visual touchstone, but perform all the hits from Bowie’s storied career such as very early classics as “Space Oddity” and “When I’m Five” through to selections from his parting gift: Blackstar, released earlier this year.

Replete with costume changes, sonic accuracy and fronted by fellow Londoner, Julian Shah-Tayler, “The Band That Fell To Earth” delivers a crowd-pleasing tribute to remember.

One of the "Top 10 Tribute Bands" in LA Weekly, and billed as “the greatest all-live tribute to David Bowie” in The US, “TBTF2E” have been building on their passionate and heartfelt live show for nearly 3 years, playing mainly in California and wowing the audience with their energetic and raw performances, focused on the live experience of Ziggy in his heyday. Due to popular demand, they have recently brought in 80s and later period Bowie material, even reducing audiences in LA’s famous Viper Room to oceans of tears with a performance of “Lazarus” closing the set. Their performances at the “Labyrinth of Jareth” costume ball (the largest costume ball in the US) closed the event both nights to rapture and ovation.

Gig offers are flooding in from the US, Europe and South America, and the band goes from strength to strength with over 50 of Bowie’s songs in their repertoire. Londoner A. Jude (Julian) “is” Bowie, and has performed with both Kevin Armstrong and John Hutchinson from Bowie’s band to great acclaim.

“Absolutely Brilliant” – Nick Launay (Producer of Arcade Fire/Kate Bush/Nick Cave) “Very Impressed” – David J (Bauhaus) “Really Excellent” – Dave Schulz (Berlin)
