Booking bands in New York

New York is the densest gala, corporate, and high-end wedding market in the country. Acts working this market are built for it — Certificate of Insurance turnarounds inside 24 hours, freight-elevator load-ins at hotels and event spaces, tight curfew clocks at venues like Cipriani, Plaza, Edison Ballroom, and the city's museum and rooftop circuit, and union compliance where the venue requires it. The roster also covers the Hudson Valley wedding corridor, Brooklyn warehouse events, and Long Island corporate dates. MZ is the booking agency on the back end. One team handles the hold, the offer, the contract, the advance, and the day-of contact — including coordinating the COI directly with your venue — transparent pricing and a fast quote turnaround.

New York buyer FAQ

What does a New York City band typically cost?
Budgets in the city scale higher than upstate or suburban dates because of venue tier, freight, and crew rates. Gala and high-end wedding bands typically start in the mid four figures and scale up. Strong corporate cover bands sit lower. Send the date, the venue, and a target budget and we will come back with two or three NYC-based acts that fit.
Can you handle the COI and venue paperwork?
Yes — every act on our NYC roster carries Commercial General Liability insurance and can name your venue as additional insured. We route the COI request between your venue and the artist on the advance so it lands well before load-in. If your venue has a specific endorsement form, send it on the inquiry and we will return it signed.
How far ahead should I book in NYC?
Peak Saturday wedding and gala dates (May–October, plus December holiday season) fill 9–14 months out. Corporate dinners in the city often book 4–6 months ahead on premium dates. Weeknight corporate dates inside 60 days are workable on most acts; call us and we will work the calendar.
Will the band handle freight-elevator load-ins and curfew clocks?
Yes. NYC-based bands plan for it — gear configured to fit standard freight cabs, crew sized for tight stage calls, and set pacing built around a hard curfew. Your venue's house manager will get a stage plot and load-in plan from us on the advance, so the day-of runs calm.
