The Detroit Underground was established in 1994, and still has several of its original members. Over the years the band has earned the reputation for being a hard working, high energy, show band. The group features a very solid and funky rhythm section. These four seasoned players provide a solid foundation for the band's "smokin" horns.

Established in 1994, Detroit Underground still features several original members and brings seasoned musicians, a funky rhythm section, smoking horns, and male and female lead vocalists to the stage. The band performs music from Earth, Wind & Fire, Chaka Khan, and Stevie Wonder, along with Motown hits and heartfelt ballads. Its high-energy show is suited to corporate functions, weddings, fundraisers, and dance clubs.
