Wedding Cover Bands

Cover bands built for weddings — cocktail to last-dance flexibility, first-dance song learning, and a single point of contact from inquiry to load-out.

Cocktail, dinner, dance

Flexible wedding-format cover bands. First-dance song learning, vendor-friendly advance, late-night extensions. One booking team, transparent pricing, fast quote.

What makes a great wedding band

A wedding is three events in one — cocktails, dinner, and dance — and a great wedding band reads each one differently. Cocktail hour wants a lighter footprint, acoustic or trio sub-sets that let guests hear each other talk. Dinner sets ride underneath conversation with mid-tempo standards and softer instrumentation. After toasts, the room flips into full-band dance mode and the band drives the rest of the night.

The bands on this page are built around that arc. They will learn your first-dance song, coordinate with your planner on a run-of-show, work cleanly with your DJ if you have one for transitions, and almost always accommodate a late-night extension when the dance floor is still full at the contracted end. Each act ships with insurance, vendor meal accommodations, and a clean advance packet your venue will recognize.

MZ is the booking agency. One team handles your hold, the offer, the contract, the advance call, and the day-of contact. You get a single email thread and a fast quote turnaround — no telephone game between you, the venue, the planner, and the band. Tell us the date, the venue, and a target budget and we will come back with two or three acts that fit.

Wedding buyer FAQ

Can the band learn our first-dance song?
Most wedding cover bands will learn one or two custom songs if you flag them at the time of booking. Some include it; some charge a learning fee — we will tell you up front per act. If the song is far outside the band's vocal range, we will recommend a recorded playback for the first dance and let the band own the rest of the night.
Cocktail, dinner, then dance — can one act cover all three?
Yes, this is the bread-and-butter format. A typical wedding band runs an acoustic or trio sub-set for cocktails, a dinner set in a lower-energy lane, then full band 60–75 minute dance sets after toasts. Some acts include the cocktail sub-set in their fee; others quote it as an add-on. We will line up the cleanest package for your run-of-show.
What about ceremony music?
Many acts offer a ceremony musician (string trio, solo guitar, or a couple of band members) as an add-on. Tell us if you want music for the processional and recessional and we will price it in the same quote so you have a single contract for the day.
Can we go past the contracted end time?
Wedding bands expect this — your planner will usually call it 10 minutes before the contracted end. Most acts will play a fourth set in 30-minute increments billed at the band's overtime rate; we will list that rate on the offer so there are no surprises in the moment.
How early should we book a wedding band?
For peak season Saturday weddings (May–October), book 9–14 months ahead. Off-peak dates and weekday weddings open up more options inside 6 months. If your date is tight, call us — we keep working calendars on every active band and can usually surface an option same-day.

Don't see the right band? Tell us the date, the venue, and a target budget — our booking team will source the match and quote it fast.
