About Us

Band story and booking context

For over two decades, The Black Crowes topped the charts and reigned supreme over the radio waves, even as hair bands, grunge, and hip-hop threatened to dethrone them. With hits like "Hard to Handle," "She Talks to Angels," and "Remedy," their massive success launched them to stardom in the early '90s, earning them a place among rock royalty. They were on the cover of Rolling Stone, MTV played their videos 24/7, and Generation X re-discovered the power of classic rock and blues by digging into multi-platinum classics like Shake Your Money Maker and The Southern Harmony and Musical Companion.

The Smokin’ Crowes are six musicians celebrating The Black Crowes’ high-swagger, boogie-driven vintage rock and roll. Their live sound blends bar-room blues, soulful nostalgia, and raw hard rock, with song selections leaning heavily from Shake Your Money Maker and The Southern Harmony and Musical Companion, plus choices from Amorica and By Your Side. The set recreates the classic Black Crowes style from subtle to full-force, with a sound described as matching the album recordings.

Tribute to Brooks & Dunn

4.8(4)Published Jul 25, 2018
Phoenix, AZ
1990s2000s

The undisputed kings of the ’90s line dancing craze, Brooks & Dunn are not only the biggest selling duo in country music history, they have also sold more records than any other duo in any genre. Ronnie Dunn was the quietly intense singer with the soulful voice, while Kix Brooks played the part of the high energy showman. Neither had been able to break through as a solo act, but together they hit upon a winning formula of rowdy, rocked up honkytonk tracks with punchy, danceable beats, alternated with silky smooth, pop tinged ballads. The combination made them one of the most popular country acts of the ’90s, and they were still going strong as the new millennium dawned.
