American Soldier is a Toby Keith tribute featuring DeWayne Terry of Burleson, Texas. Originally from Oklahoma, DeWayne has played music his whole life and performed across the country, including Texas, Oklahoma, California, North Carolina, Nashville, and Phoenix. He moved to Nashville in the 1990s to pursue a full-time music career, with Texas radio airplay, staff writing work, and record deal offers. After years of being told he looked and sounded like Toby Keith, DeWayne accepted the opportunity to perform the tribute. The show is named American Soldier in honor of Toby Keith’s love for his country and his music.

“I was fortunate to meet Toby Keith back in the 90s at a meet/ greet at Billy Bobs, Texas and was a big fan of his music, so I was curious to see “American Soldier Tribute to Toby Keith” by Dewayne Terry.. well I became a fan … I saw his show on April 5 at Hoots Bar in Burleson, Texas and the 2nd time I saw him was May 10 at Whiskey and Smoke Grill in Flower Mound, Texas and the 3rd show I saw was July 5 at the Barnhill Vineyards in Anna, Texas and the 4th show I saw was on September 11 at Levitt Pavilion in Arlington, Texas for the 911 tribute. Needless to say I’m a big fan, not only does he do Toby Keith justice by the way he performs and sings his songs… his resemblance and stage performance is spot on. A wonderful tribute show to Toby Keith in every way.”

I saw Dwayne this evening in Forkesville Pa and I must say, HE WAS AMAZING!!! He played every one of the songs I love from Toby, and had the whole place on their feet. I hope and pray he comes back to Pennsylvania very soon! If I could give 10 stars I definitely would!!! Love ya and your band!

We went to Dwights concert January 25th in Mesquite Nevada. Probably the best tribute concert I have ever been to. Dwight and his band were so awesome and so authentic. He really moved people. Hope they come back to Mesquite soon!

I saw DeWayne do his tribute to Toby Keith in The American Soldier Tour, September 2024 at Black Oak Casino, Tuolumne, California. DeWayne does an amazing job on Toby's songs and really does them justice. I had a great time and it was a great concert! I would definitely see DeWayne again! Thank you DeWayne!

what can I say other than WOW...When DeWayne walked out on stage, I had to force my eyes wide open and close them, then open to make sure what I was seeing. Then he hit his first note, WOW again, he sounds identical to the Big Dog Toby. He sang all the hits, worked the crowd like a pro, had me lost for a while thinking I was at a real Toby concert. I have definitely been spreading the word to al my friends. This dude hands down is the ULTIMATE reincarnation..Awesome job DeWayne, KEEP IT UP!!
